HAVE YOUR SAY: Hunting ban
It is claimed the Conservatives would repeal the hunting ban but a new survey shows seven out of 10 people questioned would keep the ban in place.
The YouGov poll showed 59% of those who took part would be less likely to vote for a candidate backing legislation.

David Cameron has in the past said the ban makes him 'furious' but what do the people of Gloucestershire think? Leave your comments using the form below.

“What if city folk started hunting country folk with bull terriers.
And see how they like it.”

“It needs a commonsense appropach not one size fits all.
Clearly you can't have hunnting in towns, the Fox will just leg it even if he starts off in a Park and ythen you will have horses and cars and padestrians and dogs in a great muddle
But in the Country Foxew are a menace, so have local decisions made Parish by Parish that the commonsense way.
That or hunt for Hunt saboteurs with twelve bores and Rotweillers”

“I don't know where you get your statistics from but everyone I know would prefer to see the Hunting Act repelled. What right has any government to ban a traditional country pursuit that manages vermin in the countryside. Since the ban I have seem numerous mangy and diseased foxes riddling the countryside. At least hunting is the survival of the fittest and is a healthy way of maintaining the ever growing predator population.”

“You say that 'A fox being killed by being chased for hours, ripped apart whilst still alive IS NOT the way any animal should be treated in this day and age'. Well think about how they kill for food. I have had 100's of chickens rip apart alive by foxes let alone the amount of sheep the foxes have had of mine. It kinda like pay back. I cant affored to keep bying more animals just so the foxes can rip them up. Half the time they kill for fun and leave the animal for me to find in the morning.
Think about how many Hounds have been put down due to the ban of hunting... That is wrong.
BRING BACK HUNTING!!!”

“It wasnt so long ago that slavery was legal. It was wrong then and still is now. Fox hunting is wrong. It was wrong then and still is now. Hunting for food is one thing, hunting for sport is another.”

“Can I just point to the first three words of this article - "It is claimed..."
Publishing sensationalist tripe designed to cause rifts between local people is not a good thing. Shame.”

“Let's come to an agreement and let the huntsmen and women do urban hunting and instead of fox allow the courts to use ASBO breachers for the prey.”

“Hey, whose bothered... The hunt still kill foxes, there are always ways of getting around bans... i saw an old and very ill fox told the hunt, they assured me they would deal with it. and it was done. There will always be pro and cons for these thing. why dont we all live and let live. i really have better things to bother about than this. child cruelty, child abuse etc... get a grip and if it comes back horray if it doesnt well things will stay as they currently are...! and 'jobs' will get done!”
