SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL CHARITY AT BABY AND CHILDREN’S NEARLY NEW SALE
A supporter of Stroud-based charity, the Meningitis Trust/Meningitis UK, is organising a baby and children's nearly new sale this weekend and is inviting buyers and sellers alike to join her.
Kate Tyler, from Stroud, is arranging the sale at Paganhill Village Hall on Sunday, 8 September between 10am and 12.30pm. Sellers can book a table for £5 to be paid on arrival, and table-shares are welcome. It will be free entry for buyers or browsers, and everyone will be offered a free tea or coffee and a cake, with the option to make a donation to the Trust.
There will also be a 'teddy-tombola' for £1 a go with each ticket guaranteed a win, and all proceeds will go to the charity. Plus, there be will be a table with meningitis information including free symptoms cards to take away, and collection buckets for donations.
Kate says, "Everyone is welcome to come along, the more the merrier! Sellers can keep their own profits or donate them to the Meningitis Trust, but either way it's a great way to get rid of old kids clothes and pick up some bargains at the same time! It's also great to be able to support a local charity and raise awareness of meningitis."
Gents, come in to Earl's & Co and enjoy a haircut and finish, glass of whisky and a shoeshine for £18.50
Terms: Later and earlier appointments available upon request
Contact: 01242 504887
Valid until: Tuesday, December 31 2013
Leah Wynn, the Trust's local Community Fundraiser said "A sale like this will attract a lot of parents so it is the perfect way to let them know about the devastating effects meningitis can have. We rely on the energy, enthusiasm and initiative of our supporters, and donations from individuals, to raise the £10,000 we need each and every day to support those battling their way back after meningitis, and to fund research into fighting the disease."
Tables are going quickly, so to book one of the last few remaining spaces at the sale, call Kate on 07545 578703 to avoid disappointment on the day. Paganhill Village Hall is located behind Tesco Express on Stratford Road.
