THE first Final Four tournament of the year was held at the impressive new sports hall at All Saints' Academy, Cheltenham.

It was perhaps fitting they emerged winners after a competitive tournament and some excellent basketball.

In the first semi-final, St Peters took on All Saints in what was an entertaining, fast-flowing affair.

All Saints started strongly and quickly established a lead as defensive pressure produced turnarounds and points.

They ran the fast break to good effect, with Lluisma and Duffus finishing well.

St Peter's rallied in the second half with Will Owusu and Theo Bulless looking sharp.

However, their lack of height was a constant disadvantage throughout the game as All Saints dominated the boards.

St Peter's could never really gain the momentum to threaten the All Saints lead and their coach took the opportunity to give everyone court time.

Result: All Saints 53 St Peters 24

Scorers, St Peter's: W Owusu 10, Enriquez 6, Bulless 4, Connolly 2, Boughton 1

IN THE second semi-final Thomas Keble, featuring England Under-15 Development member Jack Shepherd, played an inexperienced Dene Magna side.

It was a fairly one-sided affair as Dene Magna struggled to contain Shepherd.

However, they used their size and athleticism to good effect and made Keble work hard to gain possession.

IN THE final All Saints continued in the same vein as the semi-final and moved the ball well.

South West player Lluisma and Duffus did an excellent job containing the threat of Shepherd as All Saints edged into a lead.

Despite the efforts of Keble and the energy of Sam Burnside, they struggled to finish and All Saints took full advantage as they maintained a good shot percentage themselves.

In the second half Keble rallied briefly but All Saints would not be rattled and they comfortably closed out the game to become worthy winners.

Scorers, All Saints Academy: Duffus 24, Lluisma 22, Batac 4, Payson 2, Brown 2,
