MEASURES are being taken to prevent a wall collapse at a Gloucester school.

King's School has made a planning application to the city council to rebuild and repair one of its boundary walls.

The wall adjacent to Bishop's Palace is 2.3m in height and 40cm thick. However, an inspection has revealed problems in the wall's bonding and a partial collapse has been deemed "likely" by company BTA Structural Design.

Therefore proposals have been put forward to mend the wall before it falls.
