Search widens for missing George Ford
Airborne police have joined divers and officers on the ground as Gloucestershire Constabulary scours Stroud to find missing George Ford.
Divers from the Avon and Somerset force are currently sweeping the Stroudwater canal at Wallbridge, while officers and police community safety officers walk the towpath around a mile in each direction.
George, 20, went missing from his Slad Road, Stroud home at 3am on Sunday and police are concerned for his welfare.
The Western Counties force helicopter is flying above the canal and the surrounding area to look for signs of George, and PCSOs are handing out leaflets in the town, urging anyone who has seen him to get in touch.

Last night, Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service and the Severn Area Rescue Service used boats to conduct a search of the same area where the divers currently are. A Cotswold Canals Trust webcam which usually covers part of the area being searched has been temporarily shut down because of the investigation. Police are unable to confirm at this stage whether any footage from the camera is being scrutinised.
Anyone who has seen George is urged contact police on 101 immediately. He is white, around 6ft 1in, with brown, wavy shoulder-length hair. He was last seen wearing a green T-shirt with Hitchhike Morocco on the front, grey combat trousers, a brown satchel bag and black DC trainers with blue detail.
