Seth Lakeman set for Gloucester Cathedral gig
TALENTED, passionate and tuneful. Just three words that describe multi-talented, folk musician and singer-songwriter Seth Lakeman.
From the West Country, the skillful folk music craftsman felt inspired by music as it was virtually all around him as he grew up.
“My brothers played a lot and my dad ran a folk club,” he told The Buzz.
Honing his craft, he won the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards Singer of The Year and Best Album in 2007.

Carrying musical influences such as AC/DC and Richard Thompson forward, his ability has led him to a legion of fans.
While he predominantly plays the guitar, he also plays the violin and manages to find time to write his songs.
He tells us he’s excited to be performing at the magnificent Gloucester Cathedral and is excited to play off the reaction of the crowd.
“Interacting with the audience and playing the music that conjures up such a great environment is the main reason I enjoy performing,” Seth says.
“And I love being able to convey stories through music and songs.”
Seth has already crafted six albums and his latest addition is out in the new year.
Until then, he’ll be playing many of his favourites at Gloucester Cathedral tomorrow night from 7.30pm.
Tickets for the gig cost from £13. Snap them up by calling 08456 521823.
