Severn Trent Water reopens Leckhampton Road following burst water pipe
LECKHAMPTON Road has reopened after being closed since Tuesday morning when a water pipe burst.
Severn Trent Water opened the road again at 4pm yesterday, and workmen will be cleaning the surrounding tarmac and pavements over the weekend.
A spokeswoman for the company said: "Everything should be back to normal by Monday."
Martin Pashley is claiming compensation from Severn Trent as he says the closed road halved the number of customers at his shop, Premier Leckhampton Convenience Store.

Mr Pashley, 29, said: "We have been down about £700 on takings from normal each day since the road closed."
He added: "On an average day we have about 350 customers, and we have had half of that because of the road being closed."
