Severn Trent hits high notes with Gareth Malone and The Choir
WATER company worker Philippa Brewell has been using pipes of a vocal kind after she signed up for a choir on national television.
The 33-year-old, who helps keep the county's sewers running smoothly, will appear on the BBC show The Choir tonight.
She signed up for the Severn Trent Water choir where she practiced with singing sensation Gareth Malone.
"He makes you work hard and is very intense but it was worth it," said mum-of-two.

Philippa, who works as an improvement project analyst from the water company's Staverton office when she is in the county.
In the series, screened on BBC2, Malone, famed for his work with the Military Wives, turns everyday people into singers.
In this series, he recruits people for staff choirs who will go up against each other in a sing-off. The result is a closely guarded secret but the Severn Trent singers did learn Tina Turner's Proud Mary.
"Off camera he is just as he is on camera and has a fine attention to detail," she said.
