Severn Trent win Gareth Malone's The Choir: Sing While You Work
Severn Trent Water’s choir has stormed to victory, being recognised as Gareth Malone’s best workplace choir. In tonight’s final episode of The Choir: Sing While You Work on BBC Two, the choir sang to victory with their rendition of Feeling Good, made famous by Nina Simone, Muse and Michael Bublé.
The grand finale saw the three remaining choirs face their biggest challenge yet, as they took to the stage in front of thousands at one of the world’s most prestigious choral music festivals - the International Eisteddfod in Llangollen.

Belting out their final notes in the competition, the choirs were each scrutinised by Ruby Turner, Ralph Allwood and Manvinder Rattan, the series’ judges.
It was a close call with Royal Mail praised for their ability to sing quietly with impact and Lewisham Healthcare NHS Trust blowing the judges away once again. However, Severn Trent Water’s choir rose to the challenge and were complimented on their confidence on stage, fantastic singing and overall accomplished performance.

As far are the judges were concerned, it was a “unanimous decision”.
With each choir given a new song for the final, Royal Mail sung their hearts out to Fleetwood Mac’s Don’t Stop and Lewisham Healthcare NHS Trust performed For Once in My Life, made famous by Stevie Wonder.
Jean Harrison, Commercial Waste Technical Specialist and member of the Severn Trent choir: “We did it! Words cannot describe adequately just how we all feel about this amazing experience. To actually come away as the victorious choir was something we dreamed of, but the reality of it coming true is something else!”
