SEX and the City’s Kim Cattrall has been spotted taking in the delights of Nailsworth.

The 54-year-old sex symbol was seen by shoppers in delicatessen and oyster bar William’s Fish Market and Foodhall on Saturday afternoon.

Stroud Life understands the film and TV actress was introduced to staff and she was seen inspecting the town’s fountain and clock.

Shoppers said the Golden Globe Award-winning actress, pictured, charmed staff and stunned members of the public.

Some did a double-take before recognising her.

The upmarket deli in Fountain Street, run by William Beeston, is a popular haunt for celebrities and locals who are on the lookout for something special to cook up.

Ms Cattrall, who re-traced her English roots on BBC TV show Who Do You Think You Are?, was believed to be visiting film director Sir Richard Eyre, who lives in Nailsworth.

“Steve George - don't be so cynical!

It's a nice change to have some fun news reported rather than just doom and gloom.

If Kim Cattrall brought a smile to just one person's face that is good enough for me. Better news than a mugging, a fire or a car accident.

Lighten up and enjoy fun news for what it is - FUN !!!!”
