Sheep rescued from River Severn
FIRE fighters had to rescue a sheep from the River Severn yesterday.
Crews from Gloucester Community fire station were called to one mile south of Haw Bridge, Tirley, after they were alerted to a sheep in the river around 11.15am.
A boat provided by Gloucester South station was launched by rescue teams in Apperly, and the sheep was rescued unhurt by 12.55am.

How often does a sheep fall in the river,I cant remember the Echo reporting sheep seen floating down the river!as is often the case.”
