SHOON the shoe shop will be moving from Cheltenham's Promenade to the Regent Arcade soon.

The move is anticipated to take place either at the weekend or early next week, but town centre leaders don't believe there will be a gap on the Promenade for long.
Town centre manager Martin Quantock said he was unsure what could be replacing Shoon, but said the move would create the only vacant space on the popular street.

He said: "If previous experience is something to go by, it won't take long for the Promenade space to be taken.
"I would like to see something there pretty quickly and it is in a good position so I can't see any problems in filling it.
"The Promenade is renowned for high end quality retail outlets and I think something of those sorts would fit in quite nicely.
"I am really pleased Cheltenham is not losing Shoon and it is staying in the town as it is a good shop.
"While Shoon is still trading we are 100 per cent full on the Promenade and there are not a lot of streets in the country that can say that, so it is a real feather in our cap."
Fashion brand Whistles will be opening into the town today. It is also on the Promenade, at the former home of Country Casuals and next to Shoon.
John Forward, manager of the Regent Arcade in the High Street, is looking forward to welcoming the shoe shop to the centre. He believes it will either open this weekend or early next week.
He said: "We are extremely pleased to be getting this high quality shop is moving into the Arcade, particularly as it has a history of being in the town."
He believes the new store, coupled with the redevelopment work that will see H&M move into the shopping centre and TKMaxx extended, means good news for the centre and Cheltenham's High Street.
