Shelina, who works for an insurance company in Gloucester, said: “I have been singing professionally for about seven years now and have had gigs in London, Bristol, Birmingham, all over the place.
“I sing R&B mainly and went through the auditions in Bedfordshire a few weeks ago by singing one of my own songs.
“Now I am in the regional final in Cheltenham.”
Shelina will be supported by her mum Jayne, 40, father Lloyd, 45, brother Josiah, 20, and sister Janessa, 18, at the final on March 27 at The Bacon Theatre in Cheltenham.
Shelina added: “I am really excited about it and I am looking forward to doing it. All my family and friends will be there to support me so hopefully I will do well.”
Her older sister Kalisha died in Cyprus from an ectopic pregnancy on July 30, 2008.
Live and Unsigned is the UK’s national music competition for unsigned acts to compete live and get the chance to win a recording contract.
