Forecasters are predicting snow showers could hit Gloucestershire this afternoon.

As temperatures struggle to get warmed than 1C, the Met Office believes the country could be covered in a white blanket by this evening.

Drivers are being warned to take care on the slippery roads and Gloucestershire County Council's gritting team have been out in force.

The snow is expected to turn to rain overnight leaving ice on the roads.
