Spa girls grab share of second-city limelight
CHELTENHAM Spa Ladies were invited to act as mascots for Birmingham Ladies in their match against Bristol Academy.
Fourteen Cheltenham players were invited to the game, which was played in front of live TV cameras.
Before the game the girls were invited to take part in a training session. They also met Team GB and England international Karen Carney, as well as her FA Cup winning team-mates Rachel Unitt and Laura Bassett.
Birmingham took the lead in a tight affair, with Jodie Taylor scoring, only to see the goal cancelled out four minutes later by Bristol's Natasha Harding.
