Cirencester led 15-12 with three ends to play, but Stroud clawed their way back with two singles to be 15-14 down going into the final end.

Stroud scored a double to win 16-15 and book themselves a place at the national championships at Worthing in August.

In the other semi-final GB Britton's Mike Hurse and Paul Bryant faced Ken Ferson and Graham Phillips of Barnwood.

GB Britton were on the back foot after going 7-3 behind and then, after going four ends without scoring, trailed 15-7.

The fightback came when they scored a three and a four.

With the gap down to one shot, 16-15, they turned on the power to win the last five ends with three two's and a four for a 26-16 win.
