St Edward's School - When Titus came to school
A 'REAL' Roman came to see us. He gave us all training sessions with swords and shields.
We found out that there were lots of differences between Romans and Celts, such as the Roman's would march along and say "si, dex, si, dex, si, dex" and then they charge. The Celts just charged! Titus told us that you should never say no to a Roman because, if you do, something bad might happen!
Did you know that, before the Romans, the first day of the year was March 1 and that carrots used to be white?
We had a really good day which ended in a battle and everyone ran from one end of the gym to the other.
