HISTORIC Littledean Jail formed the backdrop for a pop

photoshoot.

New ska band The Dance Brigade, fronted by Jennie Matthias,

former lead singer of The Belle Stars, and Lee Thompson,

saxophone player from Madness, shot their first promo video at

the former prison this week.

Starring alongside them were members of the Gloucester and

Cheltenham Scooter Club.

The band and their co-stars were all kitted out in polo shirts

from First Five Eight, the eco-friendly clothing company of

Gloucester rugby players Ryan Lamb and Anthony Allen.

Jennie said: “There was the whole package for us in

Gloucestershire, everything was there – the scooters, location

and clothes.

“Everyone was so lovely and the museum has a real appeal for us

as it goes with our music and it helped us feel at ease – it

was the first time the whole band had really been together.”

The band play their first gig in September.

Dave Hawkins, a member of the Gloucester and Cheltenham Scooter

Club said the shoot had been great fun.

He said: “There were about a dozen members from the club who

rode to Littledean Jail on their Lambretta and Vespa scooters.”
