Street Drinkers and Beggars – “Welcome to Gloucester”
Walk into the city centre from the Quays via the multi million pound linkage scheme and you are bound to be presented with one of our many street drinkers or beggars. With all the regeneration money being spent in the area might it be about time that the street drinkers are made to move on or that regeneration money will have be wasted.
Maybe the small outlets that sell the "white strong cider" and "super brew" type drinks to the street drinkers and beggars should be spoken to about their sales of licenced products and the problems it's causing the community as a whole.

“My mistakes are not preventing me from sleeping in a bed at night because I accept responsibility for my life. How does a big issue seller/beggar sleep on the streets and yet have shoes cleaner that a duck filled Duvet form Dunhelm???
See the best in people, I prefer to see the truth.”

“Sorry i like to see the best in people, not concentrate on the bad, we all have a right 2 our opinion . Everybody's life and situations are different and lets face it we have all made mistakes in our lives but at least our mistakes are not preventing us sleep in a warm dry bed tonight.”

“Not only that, I don't believe for a minute that these so called "Homeless" are homeless, and I don't feel lucky that I am not them, I am a product of accepting responsibility, these are people who have chosen not to. How is that lucky?”

“Well Clare1, it has been a while since I have been to Cheltenham and so if that one too has a resident big beggar, then I will just have to boycott that one too.
Isn't it sad. It might not offend you, but it offends me. I don't want to be asked for money. If I want to give I will give but I do not view them as a worthy cause anyway to be giving them money which I have had to work for.”

“Where's the photograph gone? The last time that I looked at this story, there was an accompanying photograph. It was of a drunken man, but you couldn't identify the individual, so why has the photograph disappeared?”
