PLANNING is under way for this summer's Bishop's Cleeve Street Fair.

Organisers are putting in an early request for volunteers for the event in June, which will again have a 1940s theme.

Help The Heroes and the Limbless Association will be the beneficiaries of this year's event.

Organiser Christine Stratton said hundreds of people turned out last year.

"We need volunteers to man barricades, help set up stalls, put up and take down bunting," she said.

"We would love to hear from people who could bring along their vintage cars, tractors or engines. And we would like to get some more entertainers booked too."

Anyone who is interested in volunteering or taking a stall should call 01452 700507.
