STROUD'S MP visited town posties at their busiest time of the year.

Neil Carmichael MP called in at Royal Mail's Stroud delivery office to pass on best Christmas wishes and encouragement to the postmen and women.

He was shown round the office and introduced to staff.

"It was great to meet the hard-working Royal Mail postmen and women at Stroud delivery office and to see at first hand just how much effort they put into delivering for people at this time of year," said Mr Carmichael.

“Well that was inconsiderate of him I can understand if you were impolite which no doubt you were not.
I think with MPs sometimes you need to vote for the man not the party?
I have heard good things about David Drew for instance although have no first hand dealings with him.
I can only speak as I find and that is although I do not agree with Mr Graham on a fair few issues he always takes the time and trouble to respond to me and explain his reasoning etc.
I send him a list of issues last night which I thought have greater priority than say getting wound up over "Gay Marriage"
He took the trouble to reply and point out some very positive progress the government has made in trying to re balance the economy.
It is his first stint as an MP and agree or not with him I do believe he is trying hard to turn things around.”

“I quite simly asked Mr Charmichael to find out why when I was in the north of England the fuel prices were on average 5-8p cheaper per litre and he did not reply to me...”

“I think it is his job to go round and visit constituents?
I have received an email back tonight at 23.20 hours from my MP Richard Graham.
Fair played to him as it was a huge moan!!
Perhaps the Stroud one is not as hard working?”

“Maybe the Stroud MP should actually be doing some work, like responding to emails that were sent to him 6 months ago...”
