Stroud man faces 19 child abuse charges

CHILD abuse charges have been made by police against a Stroud man.

Stephen James Read, 58, of Bussage is due at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on December 17.

He is charged with 10 allegations of assaulting a child under 13, two charges of meeting a child under 16 after sexual grooming, two of causing a child under 13 to see an image of sexual activity, two charges of inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity, a charge of causing a child aged 13 to 15 to watch or look at an image of sexual activity, and two charges of indecent assault on child under 16.
