Stroud man's foot trapped after van rolls back on him

A man was left trapped under his van after it rolled back on his foot.

He came away with minor injuries.

It happened at 5.45pm on Saturday at Hawkwood College, at Painswick Old Road, in Stroud.

Five firefighters from Stroud fire station rescued the man in less than 20 minutes.

Watch commander Dave Woodward said: "He had become trapped by his foot after his van had rolled back onto him. 

"The cause was thought to be due to him attempting to bump start the vehicle."
