STROUD has been wiped off the map in a glitch by iPhone giant Apple.
The town is nowhere to be seen on the new Apple Maps for iOS6 system.

Stroud is not on the new iOS6 map
Stroud businesswoman Sabrina Pace Humphries said the omission is bad news for the town.
"We have such a diverse business community here, from small independent traders to big companies like Ecotricity - so for Stroud to have been missed off the map, just doesn't make sense," said Sabrina, director of Trailblazer PR.

"It's really bad for Stroud. A lot of people who might be coming to Stroud for business, or for our festivals and events depend on their iPhone.
"They're going to wonder where is Stroud?"
Apple has sold more than five million of its new iPhones in three days despite customer grumbles about some of its software.

“So "Sabrina, director of Trailblazer PR." thinks people use their iPhone to go to Stroud.
I doubt they would head off without checking another source first, after all they must have HEARD about Stroud if they planned on going there!
Of course the cynic in me might think that "Sabrina, director of Trailblazer PR." was just looking for some cheap publicity for Trailblazer PR.”
