SAFETY advice is being given out to students after a teenage girl was raped in Longlevens in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The 19-year-old was attacked by two men at a bus stop in Oxstalls Lane. Police inquiries are continuing.
Gloucestershire University's Director of Student Support, Stewart Dove said students should stick together late at night.
"Through our residential support system of wardens and senior students on campus, we have advised students be mindful of their surroundings and avoid walking home alone," he said.

"As always, they should look after themselves and each other, and report anything unusual."
Paul Hopkins a taxi driver in Gloucester city centre says people walking home alone is becoming a more common sight in the early hours of the morning.
"We do see girls walking around at night by themselves and it is a worry.
"They should be following the usual, basic safety advice to stay in groups and stick to well lit areas.
"If they've got money to go out and have drinks, people should have enough money to pay for a taxi or a bus to get home.
"Getting home safely should be a priority for people with money for that set aside."
