A UNIVERSITY art student is hoping to raise money for five charities by selling her work.

Kate Hopkins, an illustration student at the University of Gloucestershire, will launch an exhibition next month.

The 30-year-old from Cheltenham plans to showcase a collection of her work in oil and canvas, 3D videos and animations.

Kate said: "The aim of the exhibition is to encourage the audience to reconsider values and perspective, mainly through a visual portrayal of incredible human beings.

"I'll be publicising Tommy's, Help for Heroes, Scope, Tiny Babies Big Appeal and the Churches Conservation Trust in my promotional material and at the exhibition.

"Profits from the catalogues and any works or prints sold will be donated to them also."

The exhibition will be held at St Nicholas's Church in Westgate Street, Gloucester, from July 1 to 24.
