Students go back to nature for outdoor lesson
STUDENTS at Gloucestershire College have been getting their hands dirty.
A group of Early Years students have been taking part in mud play, printing with natural materials, shoe box cookery, den building and making toffee apples over a candle. Taking place over two days this week, the aim of the event was to teach the students of the College's Cheltenham and Forest of Dean campuses more about the concept of Forest schools.
Head of Early Years at Gloucestershire College, Heather Ridgway, said: "These were very special days which helped students to become more aware of the value of outdoor play.
"Students were challenged by the team to take a full part, to have fun and to reflect on their learning."
