Students prepare for Oxjam Cheltenham takeover
Saturday will see venues all over Cheltenham showered in pink as the Oxjam Music Festival rolls into town.
Starting from 3pm, the event will feature eight hours of live music across four music venues - The Frog and Fiddle, The Sound Music Venue, The Swan and G’s Bar.
This year’s line-up will feature local heroes Jim Lockey and the Solemn Sun, fresh from their sold-out home coming show, and the band will headline the Cheltenham Underground Stage at the Frog and Fiddle.
Meanwhile the Sound Music Venue’s line up will be headlined by a man whose music featured on BBC’s Olympics Coverage and provided the soundtrack to this year’s WWE Royal Rumble, Clement Marfo.

Other high profile names on the line up include rock band Morain who continue to develop a fantastic UK following, The Voice sensation Vince Freeman, metal band Erica and the soulful Ella Martini.
Organised by a handful of university students, the Cheltenham team are the youngest in the country and are keen to put on a great show.
TOxjam Cheltenham is not only for students - anyone can go along and join the fun.
Second year University of Gloucestershire student and the festival’s co-manager Matt Francis, said: “To have such high profile names volunteering their time for Oxfam is absolutely amazing, we’ve drawn talent from every genre of music, from Metal to dubstep, to hip hop-rock, it’s a festival not to be missed.”
Advanced adult tickets for the festival are £4 giving access to all four festival venues.
