FLYING fanatic Carol Vorderman wants to circle the globe for charity.

The TV presenter revealed her daredevil ambition as she promoted The Best of British Show which is coming to Cotswold Airport on August 26 and 27.

The 51-year-old, who is taking her private pilot's licence at the Kemble base, said: "Flying round the world is one of my ambitions. I met aviator Polly Vacher who has done it twice for charity and she learned to fly at 50.

"I've always wanted to fly and be a pilot. My heart pounds when I'm on an airfield or at an airshow."

The family event, expected to draw 20,000 visitors, is a tribute to iconic Britain in Diamond Jubilee year.
