Taking your riding to the next level

Pushing yourself on some of the more exciting roads throughout Britain is one way of doing this, but you can also look for an official way to prove you are a safe and skilled rider. You never know, it may also help when it comes to looking for cheap quotes for motorcycle insurance.

This is regarded as the most comprehensive and challenging test available to the public, and is monitored by the Driving Standards Agency. Lasting around 90 minutes, it will be overseen by a RoSPA Examiner (all of whom are retired Police Officers).
Why take the test?
It’s all about taking your riding to the next level. As an advanced rider you’ll be able to control and anticipate various situations. In the long run this will help reduce your risk of accident as you’ll be equipped with the knowledge and skills to make sure you ride both safely and skilfully in whatever conditions the UK weather throws at you.
When looking for motorcycle insurance from Swinton for example, if you can show you have a skills base over and above other road users it will help you secure a great deal on your insurance. Insurance companies are much more likely to insure safe riders and drivers.
How is the test graded?
The grading system for the RoSPA Advanced Riding Test is Bronze, Silver or Gold with the latter representing the highest standard available to members of the public. To reach this level, you will be a rider of the highest calibre and have a skill set to rival the best riders out there in the UK.
What are the benefits of taking the test?
The following are key benefits of taking the test, as well as providing you’re a top level rider:
- A reduced risk of having a crash
