Talent ID Final is a smash hit for ace Parker
ROSS-on-Wye junior tennis player Alexander Parker was put through his paces after taking part in the Lawn Tennis Association's national Talent ID Finals at the Bolton Arena.
The 13-year-old was among 50 youngsters from across the country invited to the session after successfully progressing through county and regional Talent ID days to make the final week.
Parker, who trains at Edgbaston Priory in Birmingham, showed off his skills in front of the LTA Talent ID team who were aiming to spot future performance players who even at such an early age were displaying the right attributes that could enable them to make a real impact on the game.
Parker said: "I have been to quite a few Talent ID days now and I really enjoy it. I like all the drills at the beginning but I do prefer match play at the end of the day – it's great fun and I get to practice all that I have learnt in the morning."
