Tax cheat brought back in to court
A BENEFITS cheat who claimed thousands of pounds of taxpayers' cash while her husband was earning as much as £1,500 a week, will appear in court on September 7.
Gaye Williams claimed she was a single mum and fraudulently gained £6,500 in council housing and tax benefits while living with her civil engineer husband.
In September last year, the 38-year-old of Oakle Street, Churcham, admitted three offences of obtaining benefits by dishonestly failing to disclose she and her husband were in a common household.
At the time, she was sentenced to 180 hours of unpaid work but is now accused of breaching her sentence.
