This is Gloucestershire

TWO teenagers have been arrested following a car crash in

which a 19-year-old man died.

The victim has been named as Karl Hampton. He was in an Audi

A4 with two other teenagers at 4.15am on Saturday when they had

the crash on a country lane between Hardwicke and Elmore.

Karl, who is believed to be a former Severn Vale School

pupil, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 19-year-old man was taken to Gloucestershire Royal

Hospital with non life-threatening injuries. He was released

after treatment.

The 19-year-old and a 17-year-old man, who was also in the

car, have since been arrested on suspicion of causing death by

dangerous driving.

Last night both men were in custody helping police with

their enquires.

Floral tributes for Karl have been left at the scene of the

tragedy.

His friends also placed a KFC takeaway meal for him in the

centre of the tributes.

Pinned to the flowers were loving messages from family and

friends.

One said: "Alrite Bruv RIP. Karl man, can't believe your

gone.

"It was only yesterday I was with you. It's always the good

ones who go.

"You were sucha a good m8, wicked and would do anything for

anyone.

"We had a good laugh Friday night and that's how I'm going

to remember m8.

"Your never be forgotton Bruv. RIP babe, miss you Jes

xxxxx."

Friends have also set up a tribute page for Karl on social

networking site Facebook.

Sophia Jayne Rogers, wrote: "Why have you been taken from

us!?

"It's not rite, i was looking 4ward to a catch up with you

Karlos. Sleep well, miss you. X x x."

Dean Willetts said: "RIP Karl. I'll miss you mate/foster bro

cant believe your gone. I will never forget you and all the

good times we had. Miss you."

Aaron Barry, wrote: "RIP mate it was great knowing you and

ul truelly be missed, just seems like yesterday we was playin

football at Beech Green and Severn Vale, ive known you for

years and still cant believe your gone, miss ya man xx."

Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash. They also

want to speak to anyone who saw the dark blue Audi from Friday

afternoon onwards.
