Teenagers burgled four Gloucester homes in 'drunken rampage'
TEENAGE burglars went on a "drunken rampage", stealing thousands of pounds of property from homes around Gloucester.
Pierce Green and Sean Ryland even stole a treasured picture of one victim's late wife.
The pair admitted four burglaries in August last year.
Prosecutor Julian Kesner told Gloucester Crown Court the break-ins were all committed at night while the homes were occupied.

They got into two homes in Dean's Walk and two in St Mary's Close through open windows.
During the burglaries the pair took televisions, computers, cash and wallets. In one of the homes, young children were asleep when the drunken youths forced their way in.
Gloucester Crown Court heard the victims were left scared, violated, shaken and unsafe.
Car keys were taken from Dean's Walk and both a Fiat 500 and a Citroen Saxo were taken.
Judge William Hart said: "This was a drunken rampage through the homes of honest people who wrongly thought they were sleeping safe in their beds."
Green, 19, of Highfield Road, Gloucester, admitted two counts of taking a vehicle without consent and asked for three similar offences to be taken into consideration.
Ryland, 18, of Westgate Street, Gloucester, also admitted taking a vehicle without consent.
Steve Young, for Green, said his client was very remorseful.
The court heard he was planning to "use his time wisely" by pursuing education while in custody.
For Ryland, Clare Morgan-White said it was the first time her client had been in trouble with the law.
She said: "He has his own mind and could have said no. He does not seek to blame his co-defendant for his behaviour."
Judge Hart told the men: "There could not be a greater contrast between you. You, Mr Green, have a dreadful record for anyone, regardless of your age.
"I have no doubt that you are the leading force so far as these burglaries are concerned."
Green was locked up for three-and-a-half years. Ryland was sentenced to 15 months.

“I was a victim of these good for nothing idiots! "Creepers" the lowest form of Burglary which scared the life out of me and my children. Pleased that they both got custodial sentences, we were told that the one without any previous offences would probably get off! Hope they realise the error of their ways, however I seriously doubt it!!”

Anyway. Two more thieving scumbag given their just deserts. And re. the comments from the defence barristers - "client was very remorseful" translates as "he's sorry he got caught", and the other apparently "client had been in trouble with the law" - i.e. never previously been arrested. Which doesn't necessarily mean that he'd never transgressed previously...”

“If they have admitted being drunk then they should be banned from driving the stolen cars too. That will increase their insurance costs (should they be able to get insurance) and make them suffer for their crimes for years to come.”
