Terrier dog stuck under motorway near Gloucester
A terrier dog has been rescued from beneath the M50 motorway near Bromsberrow.
At 5.30pm yesterday the fire service were called by a distraught owner whose dog had dissappeared while walking near the M50 motorway near Bromsberrow.
The dog was believed to have become trapped in a drain which runs underneath the motorway itself.
A crew from Newent Station with five firefighters were dispatched to rescue the dog. When crews arrived it was clear that the dog was stuck under the motorway and could be heard barking from a manhole cover.

The Highway Agency were called to assist and once in attendance, performed a rolling road block to enable firefighters to reach the manhole cover in the middle lane of the motorway safely.
The terrier dog was located and quickly rescued uninjured from the drain much to the relief of his owner.
Crews were in attendance for just over an hour dealing with the incident.
