Texas triumph for flying quartet
FORTY ladies braved high winds and heavy rain to contest the first Texas scramble of the year at Broadway Golf Club.
Most teams featured four players whose handicaps were combined and then divided by ten to give an overall handicap to be deducted from the team's gross score.
In first place with a score of nett 35.1 were Pam Hooper, Pat Righton, Sonia Ward and June Griffin.
