"Not only is this play very emotive, but it is also very funny and a joy to perform, and it highlights a very serious issue which I am sure has touched most people in some way or other."
The original Calendar Girls film starred Helen Mirren and Julie Walters and was a huge hit at the box office.
"We are following the example of the original Calendar Girls and are supporting Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research," said Rowena, who added they have also printed their own calendar, which is on sale in Waterstones.
The play tells the story of a group of extraordinary women, members of a very ordinary Yorkshire WI, who spark a global phenomenon by persuading one another to pose for a charity calendar with a difference.
As interest snowballs, the Calendar Girls find themselves revealing more than they'd ever planned.
A very British story, with a very British heart, Calendar Girls is based on an uplifting and very inspiring true story that is quirky, poignant and hilarious.
Tickets cost £12 or £38 for a family ticket for four.
