Thief makes Gloucester car showroom a crime hotspot

A car showroom in Bristol Road in Gloucester was targeted by a thief who made off with three stereo systems from cars on the forecourt.

It happened between 10.30pm and 11pm on Saturday December 22.

Access to a Mazda MX5, Volkswagen Golf, Peugeot 206 and MG cars was forced by either smashing a window or prising a door open. The radio and CD systems were then stolen by the offender who left the scene.

The stereos totalled around £500 in value while the damage to the cars is estimated at around £800.

Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area or has any information about this crime is urged to call 101, quoting incident 177 of December 23.
