Thieves won't stop me says Hucclecote newsagent.
HE'S been flooded and burgled in the space of a week but
newsagent Logeswaran Sivasubraniam is still in business.
-

DETERMINED: Newsagent Logeswaran Sivasubramaniam.
The Citizen
Mr Sivasubramaniam, has run the shop for more than four
years.
He said the problems started when his store was flooded on
Sunday morning, knocking out the electricity and damaging
stock.
He said: “I had to call the fire brigade to mop up the
water.
“Then that night, because there were no alarms or power,
someone broke into the shop.”
The thieves who broke in that night ransacked Miller News,
stealing cigarettes and the shop till and caused even more
damage to the shop.
Despite the upheaval Mr Sivasubramaniam isn't letting the
trauma of the past week get in the way of his trade.
The inside of the shop might be too damaged for customers to
be allowed inside but that hasn't stopped Hucclecote getting
its news.
With a table set up for his newspapers he has been greeting
his regular customers from his make-shift store on the
pavement.
Citizens
“I'm not going to let this get me down. It's going to take a
week to get the shop fixed so I'll be selling my papers outside
until its done.”
