A JEALOUS ex-boyfriend who attacked his former girlfriend's fiance is being hunted by police.

Anthony Matthews, 19, of Crouch Court, Tewkesbury, received a suspended jail term and was ordered to do unpaid work and attend an aggression replacement programme after he admitted inflicting grievous bodily harm on William Round.

But he failed to turn up at Gloucester Crown Court this week after flouting the terms of his sentence. Judge Jamie Tabor QC issued a warrant for his arrest.

The court heard in July that Mr Round was delighted when his girlfriend accepted his marriage proposal – but soon afterwards got into an argument with jealous Matthews and was assaulted.
