Tougher action call on dangerous dogs
WE need tougher action on dangerous dogs.
That was the message from Cheltenham's Liberal Democrat MP Martin Horwood when he spoke out in support of a Government Bill which will extend the law on dangerous dogs to private property as well as behaviour in public.
The law will also shift the legal emphasis from "breed" to "deed". Speaking during a debate in the House of Commons on Tuesday Mr Horwood said: "It is enormously welcome that the Government is taking action on this issue, particularly as it comes after an earlier announcement to introduce universal microchipping."
