Town off to poor start in new campaign
REGENCY TOWN FC 1 PRESTBURY ROVERS RESERVES 2
REGENCY Town started their life in the Cheltenham League with defeat in their first ever league game.
A host of first team regulars were not available due to prior commitments but this did not detract from what was a hard fought contest with chances at a premium which ended in a goalless first half.
Les Stanley was a constant menace up front and with Lee Bittle patrolling the midfield and Martin Jones assured at the back Regency were battling well.

The breakthrough however came in the second half when a long ball over the top caught the Regency defence off guard and the Prestbury forward ran on to slot the ball past the impressive Day in goal.
A second goal soon followed after a scramble in the area leading to a lethal finish into the roof of the net.
A change in formation then led to a spirited comeback from Regency with Scott Green poking home a consolation with ten minutes remaining.
