“DG9999, thanks for clarifying the location. I had to scratch my head for a bit to try and work out where on earth they were on about.”

“Matt1006-Par for the course for TiG-all reporters too busy thinking up puns for titles and content to actually go and research something important to a lot of local people!”

“All cleared away now-just a lorry loading the temp traffic lights when passed 10 mins ago- and traffic flowing normally.”

“Traffic was chaos, both ways - but as I cycle it didn't affect me too much!

If only STW actually bothered to work 24/7 to fix this, and the Bath road problem it would be sorted so much quicker....they have the resources, and have enough profit to be able to afford to do so. Cheltenham is pretty much at standstill at the moment!”

“DG9999 - as all observed using my very own eyes. Something the "reporter" responsible for this "news" article apparently hasn't managed. As you state in your 1st comment, perhaps somebody from TiG could go and have a look for themselves...???”

“Appears to be another major water leak (assume another burst main) - gutters were like rivers Friday evening (at which point the normal traffic lights were still in use). By Saturday afternoon the temporary lights were on, and Severn Trent vehicles were parked on the railway bridge. At 7pm the gutters were still well awash, and it appears the problem still exists this morning.

It was bad enough getting into Cheltenham on Saturday evening, so dread to think what it's like this morning - probably further compounded by the schools being back.

I'll be looking for a different route home from work tonight, if this isn't sorted by mid-afternoon.”

“This chaos -if the road works at Lansdown Castle is being referred to- has been going on since late last week-expected something a little more than this here-like how long the delay is likely to last. Here is a novel idea -send a journalist out to get the full story!”
