Traffic delays after barrier smash
Drivers face delays in Gloucester after a man crashed his car into a barrier on Horton Road.
Great Western Road and Barton Street's Derby Road is closed while the barrier is being repaired.

The collision happened at the level crossing at around 7.40am today.
A diversion is in place for drivers and pedestrian access has been maintained.
One male has been arrested in connection with the incident.

“It was a female that was assaulted and dragged from her car actually, she was approached and asked for help by a male, he then assualted her and stole her car after dragging her out. I personally will try to remember to keep my door locked at all times, you just never know..”

“It was an escapee from the mental hospital on Horton Road. Who then stopped a driver and stole his Land Rover before driving through the barriers causing a train to apply emergency brakes. The driver then crashed into a house on derby road. Then chucked a brick through the window of the house and climbed in, holding the family hostage until police caught up with him”
