CONTRASTING music by Brahms, Vaughan Williams and Tchaikovsky will raise the rafters of Pittville Pump Room tomorrow.

In the second of their three-concert Spring series, the Cheltenham Symphony Orchestra will be joined by oboe soloist Tim Keasley, last year's Gloucestershire Young Musician of the Year.

Tim will play Vaughan WIlliams's Oboe Concerto, written in 1944, which is characteristically pastoral and contains some beautiful legato playing.

The concert opens with the powerful Tragic Overture of Brahms and ends with his Russian counterpart, Tchaikovsky's 5th Symphony, composed in 1888.
