Transformation complete at Bristol Road eyesore
THE transformation of an eyesore home is complete and ready to welcome in new occupants.
Derelict 193 Bristol Road has finally been renovated after lying empty for 17 years.

The three-bedroom Victorian terrace house was brought by not-for-profit Elim Housing Association and given a dramatic new lease of life.
The finishing touches to a two-month renovation project to bring the building up to 21st Century standards were added last week in time for a visit by city council housing staff and Elim chief executive Alistair Allender.

"There is always a demand for social housing and Elim will be letting this house to a family on a social rent tenancy," he said. "This project has brought an unsightly property back into use to provide much-needed social housing."

“One long-term empty property sorted out (once a tenant moves in). Plenty more to sort out though.”

“It's a pity they put in really cheap windows and door - why not do a proper job that will last?”
