PUPILS in Tredworth received an unexpected letter at the start of term from none other than Her Majesty The Queen.

During the jubilee celebrations, pupils at Tredworth Infant School sent letters of congratulations and cards to Queen Elizabeth II.

Now, a letter of thanks has been sent to the school by the Queen's lady in waiting, thanking the children for their efforts.

Headteacher Roberta Camble said: "The pupils thought it was fantastic.
