Tree roots delay Prom paving work
WORK on pavements in the Promenade is set to go on until October.
Gloucestershire County Council said this was due to a large number of exposed tree roots around the well-known site.
The paving work also aims to maintain the access to shops.
The project work was previously expected to last until August, although it stopped when the Olympic torch arrived in Cheltenham in May.

“Have these tree roots just become exposed? How long was the torch on the Promenade? Mr. Riley is one of the last great comedians.”

“try working on other areas of town, there are poor pavements with roots pushing up tarmac, its not all about montpellier and the promenade”
