Tributes to “beautiful, happy and playful" Katie Clutterbuck
Tributes have been paid to a “beautiful, happy and playful girl” who died in a car crash at the weekend.
Katie Clutterbuck from Longlevens died on Sunday afternoon, after the 19-year-old was involved in a crash involving a Skoda Superb private hire taxi in Bath Road, Cheltenham.
In a statement, her family said: ““Our beautiful Katie has been taken from us too soon and words cannot express how much it hurts and words cannot express how much it hurts to breathe. It feels like a part of us has died.
“Our world has been shattered and no words could ever begin to describe the pain, sorrow and grief we are suffering. Katie is our little angel and she will never be replaced.
“Katie was beautiful, happy and playful girl who had a loving heart. Katie touched people's lives in ways that no other could. Her eyes were bluer than any ocean and her smile shone brighter than any star.
“Katie was our world and our little princess, she always said 'happy girls are the prettiest girls', a happy, pretty girl she certainly was.”
Flowers were left outside the Moon Under Water, near to the crash, in tribute to Katie and staff at the pub started a collection in her name.
The statement added: “We would like to thank everyone for their kind words, flowers, gifts and support.
“On behalf of the family, we would like to thank Frankie and Benny's Gloucester for kindly hosting a celebratory evening for Katie's family and friends following the funeral service.
“Frankie and Benny's was Katie's favourite place to eat and she spent a lot of time there each week with her friends and family. We know that she would be truly touched and overwhelmed with the amount of support they have provided.”
