Tributes pour in for motorbike rider Sam Spargo
TRIBUTES to a motorcyclist found dead at the side of a main road have been pouring in from devastated friends.
The victim, named locally as Sam Spargo, was found by a passing motorist next to the A48 at Awre, near Lydney, on Saturday.
Dozens of online tributes to the 18-year-old from Gloucester have been posted on the Sam Spargo Facebook tribute page.
"RIP Sam, I can't believe you have gone, I keep thinking it's a dream, a really bad dream, I don't want to say goodbye, I want you here, I just want to see your lush smile and one of your best hugs and say it will all be alright, but I know that's never going to happen, so sleep tight baby, and one day I will see again," said Kerrie Waight.

Alice Cushnan wrote: "You were a really lovely person, who will be greatly missed." And Ross Brown said: "Such terrible and devastating news.
"You are known and loved by many, buddy, and did not deserve this.
"Thoughts are with family and close friends. Sleep tight mate."
Matt Fenton said he was in "utter shock" at Sam's death.
"Moments like this really show you how much life is unappreciated," he wrote.
"Rest in peace Sam. My thoughts are with you're family. Sleep tight mate. Loved by many."
James Trigg said he was a "great mate who I could always rely on."
Cheri-Louise Anderson, who started the page on Facebook wrote: "Seeing everyone's status about Sam just goes to show how much he will be missed. "RIP mate."
Kirsty-Jade Gabb joined in the tributes on the page.
She said: "RIP Sam, such sad news especially at such a young age, can't imagine how the family are feeling right now! Thoughts with your family and friends."
Sam has been named locally but formal identification is expected to take place today or tomorrow.
Police officers are still keeping two lines of inquiry open, because at this stage it is not known whether another vehicle was involved in the collision.
He and his bike were found on the verge just before 7pm.
Anyone who saw a red Yamaha R6 in the area is asked to call police on the non emergency number, 101.
